Aerostar of Romania has released its financial results for 2015, recording another successful year, with turnover up 21% and net profits increased by a substantial 61%. Exports represented some 77% of turnover, while investment in plant, machinery and training continued, with employment remaining stable at just over 2000 people. During 2015, turnover on civil aircraft aerostructures and aviation production accounted for 41% of turnover, while turnover on civil aircraft MRO activities rose to 21%. A further 32% of turnover came from work on defence activities.


FLYdocs, the aviation data and records management software provider, has announced a strategic partnership with Lufthansa Technik, which has become a shareholder, replacing private equity company Growth Capital Partners. However, FLYdocs will remain a separate, independently operated entity.

The partnership is a strong investment in the futre of Lufthansa Technik’s digital strategy. New digital services – created in cooperation with the FLYdocs team and the digital business unit of Lufthansa Technik – will add additional value to customers. The ongoing investment into and development of the FLYdocs solution will create the largest digitalised repository of aviation documentation in the world, helping drive efficiencies, automation and process streamlining for operators and lessors on a global scale.


VALLAIR Capital has acquired Latécoère Aeroservice, an EASA/FAA approved repair station. Capabale of providing a large range of services, such as C checks for Airbus A320 Family, ATR 42/72 and Boeing 737 Classic/NG, this will become VALLAIR Industry.
