AFI KLM E&M and have signed an engine maintenance contract for the UK leisure airline’s Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft. The agreement covers engine repairs, on-site and on-wing assistance, as well as an engine leasing option. Two quick-turn repairs were carried out on two of’s recent acquisitions at Schiphol in less than a month and before negotiations on the overall contract were finalised.


AFI KLM E&M and Omni Air International have renewed a long-term contract under which AFI KLM E&M handles maintenance and repair of the GE Aviation CF6-80C2 engines powering the carrier’s fleet of Boeing 767-200ERs and 767-300ERs – a total of 10 aircraft.


Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA), Nordic Regional Airlines (NORRA) and Finnair have signed an exclusive long-term MRO contract for the NORRA GE Aviation CF34-10 engine fleet. 


Pratt & Whitney has signed an exclusive, five-year Maintenance Service Agreement with EL AL to provide maintenance services on up to 17 additional PW4000 engines. This agreement supplements the 27 EL AL engines that Pratt & Whitney already services. 


Revima APU has signed a long-term agreement with Cathay Pacific Airways to provide APU repair and maintenance services for PW901A (Boeing 747-400) and PW901C (Boeing 747-8F) units and GTCP331-250 APUs on Airbus A300-600F aircraft operated by its cargo subsidiary, Air Hong Kong. The contract also includes the repair of field-removed LRUs, as well as spare APU support. It has also signed a long-term agreement with Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) to provide repair and maintenance services for APS3200 APUs installed on A320 Family aircraft.


Rolls-Royce has been selected by EL AL to provide Trent 1000 engines to power 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. EL AL will now enter into exclusive negotiations with Rolls-Royce. The airline is also considering entering into TotalCare long-term service support for the engines.


Rolls-Royce has reached an agreement worth $2.4 billion for engines and services with HNA Group. The agreement covers Trent 700 engines and TotalCare service support for 20 Airbus A330s; TotalCare service support for Trent XWB engines that will power 15 Airbus A350-900s; and TotalCare service support for Trent 700 engines that power five A330 freighters and four Airbus A330s.


Rolls-Royce has signed a TotalCare Flex agreement with bmi regional for 17 Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft powered by AE 3007 engines. The agreement marks a new milestone for TotalCare Flex, designed for owners and operators of mature engines, as it is the first deal signed with a regional aircraft operator. The new service builds on the success of Rolls-Royce TotalCare, where the business models of the aircraft owner and Rolls-Royce are fully aligned to improve engine reliability, increase time on-wing and maximise the engine services contribution to customer business performance. TotalCare Flex tailors that service specifically to customers seeking economical management of mature engines.


Rolls-Royce has signed an MoU for TotalCare Flex agreements with AerCap and South African Airways to support Trent 500 engines for three AerCap Airbus A340s operated by South African Airways. The company has also renewed its focus on the needs of lessors with a revamped and dedicated team for this market.
