Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has delivered the third Boeing 737-400SF 11 pallet position freighter to Sideral Air Cargo of Brazil. The aircraft, built in 1995 (MSN 25377), is a high gross weight version and was converted and painted at Commercial Jet’s Dothan, AL, facility. Sideral has another 737-400SF on order with AEI, which is due to be delivered in 2016.

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has reached a milestone event on the conformity Bombardier CRJ200 SF conversion with the cutting of the door. This event signifies the mid-point in the overall modification process and is in line with planned certification for late 2015. As announced in December, IFL Group of Waterford, MI, is the launch customer for the CRJ200 SF. New orders continue to remain strong, as AEI has signed eight additional CRJ200 SF conversions for a total backlog of 34 aircraft. The conformity CRJ200 SF aircraft is being converted at Commercial Jet’s Miami facility.

The AEI CRJ200 SF offers two separate Cargo Loading System options: eight 61.5in x 88in or eight 62in x 88in ULD positions. This is achievable due to AEI’s large 94in x 77in main deck cargo door. Depending on the model and aircraft weight limits, the CRJ200 SF will have a main deck payload of up to 14,840lb (6,731kg). The aircraft also incorporates up to two supernumerary seats and houses a 9g rigid cargo/smoke barrier with a sliding door.
