AAR has been selected by the UK Ministry of Defence as the exclusive manager and single source of all repairs, spare parts and unit exchanges for its fleet of BAe146 aircraft. The two-year agreement includes an additional one-year renewal option and replaces an agreement signed in 2012 establishing AAR as an exclusive supplier. The RAF fleet of four BAe146 aircraft are operated by 32 (The Royal) Squadron from RAF Northolt. The prime role of the Squadron is to support UK operations. The secondary role is to provide a flexible and immediately available VVIP service to various UK government customers.

AJW Aviation has signed an agreement for an additional two Airbus A320s under the auspices of its contract with Lithuanian airline Avion Express, bringing the total to 14 aircraft.

AJW China has signed a 10-year power-by-the-hour agreement with West Air, part of the Hainan Group in China, covering engine LRUs for West Air’s fleet of V2500 powered A320s.  This is expected to increase from the current 17 aircraft to 64 by 2020.

Lufthansa Technik has been awarded an exclusive 12-year Total Component Support contract by Finnair for the Airbus A350 XWB. Finnair has firm orders for 19 A350 XWB aircraft, the first four of which are expected to arrive in the fleet in the second half of this year, with another seven in 2016 and 2017. The complete order will be fulfilled by 2023. The airline’s own maintenance organisation at Helsinki Airport is responsible for the line maintenance of Finnair’s current fleet and the new A350 XWB fleet. Finnair already has an agreement with Lufthansa Technik on engine related components service for V2500 engines and services for APS3200 APUs.

OEMServices has signed a 10-year contract with Etihad Airways for the provision of component pool and repair services for its growing fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft. The contract ensures the provision of 24/7 support, repair services and access to OEMServices’ pool stock of LRUs at its hub in Abu Dhabi. In 2008, Etihad Airways announced plans to acquire up to 205 widebody and narrowbody aircraft, including an order for 10 A380 aircraft. The first A380 was introduced to the fleet in December 2014, and four more will arrive this year. The remainder are scheduled for delivery before 2017.

TES Aviation Group has renewed its LLP supply agreement with Japan Airlines (JAL) covering approximately 15 CF6-80C2 shop visits at the Engine Maintenance Centre in JAL’s maintenance affiliate, JAL Engineering, for its Boeing 767 fleet.

TP Aerospace Leasing has been chosen by Vuelos Economicos de Centro America (Veca Airlines) of El Salvador to provide a long-term Wheels & Brakes Cycle Flat Rate programme in support of its current and planned Airbus A319 fleet.
