Aeronautical Engineers Inc (AEI) has delivered the fifth Boeing 737-400SF 11 pallet position freighter to Vx Capital Partners. The aircraft, built in 1992 (MSN 25168) is a high gross weight variant and was converted at Commercial Jet’s Miami, FL facility. The aircraft will be operated by Liege, Belgium-based TNT Airways.

AircraftConversions has re-delivered the second converted full Fokker50 Freighter (MSN 20216) to Amapola Flyg in Sweden. The newly approved Pre Assembly Modification Package will allow Fokker50 fleet owners to realise their P2F conversions through local authorised MRO organisations, substantially reducing aircraft modification downtime. Fokker50 Freighters are also operated by AsiaLinkCargo (Singapore) and MiniLiner (Italy).

Associated Air Center (AAC) has signed a new, green Airbus A320CJ VVIP narrowbody completion project contract with an undisclosed Middle-Eastern customer. This project represents AAC’s 90th VVIP completion. The new A320CJ aircraft is expected to arrive at AAC’s Dallas facility in mid-July, and is scheduled to be redelivered to the customer in September 2016. The cabin layout for the aircraft will feature a VIP bedroom, private lounge, dining area, large entertainment lounge and staff area. This aircraft will also be outfitted with a cabin management system and a JetWave (Ka band) satcom system.

Fokker Services has entered into a contract with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) to convert the ARJ21-700 regional jet into a business jet. Last year, COMAC announced the first customer for the business jet variant of its recently certified aircraft for which the companies will now co-operate.

KF Aerospace in British Columbia has delivered the first 737-300QC combi (MSN 28594) to Canadian North. PEMCO World Air Services collaborated with KF Aerospace whereby Pemco’s 737-300QC STCs were used as a platform along with KF’s newly awarded Canadian Supplemental Type Certificate.

Lufthansa Technik has signed a LoI with TUI Airlines to make it the exclusive global heavy maintenance partner for spillover-work on Boeing 737 aircraft that cannot be met by TUI’s own heavy maintenance capacities. TUI will have access to greater capacity at seasonal peaks, and reduce the number of MRO suppliers.

PEMCO World Air Services has redelivered its second Boeing 737-300F (MSN 25124) to Europe Airpost (EAP). This latest quick change (QC) to Full Freighter modification was completed under a two aircraft agreement with an option for a third. All modifications were accomplished at PEMCO’s Tampa, FL facility. PEMCO’s original contract with EAP consisted of the conversion of 737-300 aircraft from passenger to QC, but EAP’s requirements changed and PEMCO responded accordingly. The first two 737-300 QC to full freighter modifications (MSN 24789, MSN 25124) were completed during 4Q14 and 1Q15.

Precision Aircraft Solutions has been awarded the conversions of four Rolls-Royce-powered Boeing 757s for Chinese delivery services company SF Express. The former AerCap aircraft are MSN 27621n (built 1997), 26278 (1995), 30757 (2000) and 30758 (2000). Three MROs will be involved in the conversions. Air China Technics in Chengdu, PRC, will handle one aircraft; HAECO in Xiamen, PRC will take on another; and AeroTurbine in Goodyear, AZ, will convert two.

Precision Aircraft Solutions has been contracted to begin a Boeing 757 passenger-to-freighter conversion for San Francisco-based Vx Capital Partners. The aircraft, MSN 25397, is a 757-200 with winglets and Pratt & Whitney engines. Conversion was scheduled to begin at HAECO Americas in Greensboro, NC on June 22 this year, to produce a completed freighter by 4Q15.
