Aeronautical Engineers Inc (AEI) has delivered the fifth Boeing 737-400SF 11 pallet position freighter to Vx Capital Partners. The aircraft, built in 1992 (MSN 25168) is a high gross weight variant and was converted at Commercial Jet’s Miami, FL facility. The aircraft will be operated by Liege, Belgium-based TNT Airways.

AFI KLM E&M and Gulf Air have announced the signing of a component support contract for sixteen Airbus A320s, six A321s and six A330s, which includes the provision of a main base kit in Bahrain, and access to the AFI KLM E&M spares pools located in Dubai, Paris-CDG and other locations. In addition, AFI KLM E&M will support the airline as it develops and enhances its own in-house component maintenance capabilities.

AFI KLM E&M and Royal Jordanian have renewed a 2011 contract covering component support for its Airbus A330s. The agreement includes repairs and access to the spares pool on a flight hour basis, and is set to run until the scheduled retirement of the aircraft from the fleet. In the meantime, Royal Jordanian will not only benefit from AFI KLM E&M expertise on the A330 product, but also from its experience of phase outs and major compliance issues in connection with components of aircraft retired from a commercial fleet.

AFI KLM E&M and TNT Airways have signed a flight-hour agreement covering the support of the GE90-110B engines powering the airline’s Boeing 777 freighter fleet. AFI KLM E&M is now providing TNT Airways with a dedicated, integrated support programme taking in the entire engine maintenance service chain, from removal to reinstallation, including shop visits, on-site work, routine inspections, line maintenance support, engineering, on-wing engine performance monitoring, and, if needed, the supply of spare engines.

AFI KLM E&M and Transavia have signed a long-term component support contract for the low-cost airline’s fleet of Boeing 737-800s operating from France. The support covers Transavia’s’ existing 15 737-800s and six 737-800s scheduled for delivery to the airline in 2015. The service offer developed by AFI KLM E&M includes repair, overhaul and maintenance services, as well as access to a dedicated spares pool.

AFI KLM E&M and Vietnam Airlines have signed a long-term component support contract for a new fleet of Boeing 787-9s and Boeing 787-10s. A total of 19 aircraft are on order, the first of which will go into revenue service in summer 2015. The contract includes guaranteed access to a worldwide pool of 787 spare parts, repair and overhaul of components, and logistics to support fleet operations.

AFI KLM E&M has signed an exclusive long-term engine support contract with Air China Cargo, covering its fleet of Boeing 777 freighters. Six of the projected eight-strong fleet are already in revenue service and two more are due to join the fleet in September. The contract extends the 2014 partnership deal between Air China and AFI KLM E&M for exclusive full support of the carrier’s 777 aircraft engines.

AircraftConversions has re-delivered the second converted full Fokker50 Freighter (MSN 20216) to Amapola Flyg in Sweden. The newly approved Pre Assembly Modification Package will allow Fokker50 fleet owners to realise their P2F conversions through local authorised MRO organisations, substantially reducing aircraft modification downtime. Fokker50 Freighters are also operated by AsiaLinkCargo (Singapore) and MiniLiner (Italy).

AJW Aviation has been chosen by Pegasus of Turkey to provide full power-by-the-hour services for its current fleet of Airbus A320s. The multi-year contract has the option to expand with the fleet over the next decade. AJW will also locate extensive main base kit at the Pegasus facility in Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

AJW Aviation has extended its component power-by-the-hour contract with Colombian-based low-cost airline VivaColombia to support for a fleet of A320s that is anticipated to grow to 10 aircraft by the end of 2015. AJW has supported the airline’s A320 aircraft since 2012 with components from its Miami-based operation, which comprises service-ready Airbus component inventories. A main base kit is already located in Medellin, as well as consignment stock leased via AJW Leasing.
