AJW Aviation has extended its power-by-the-hour contract with Icelandic low-cost airline WOW air to include two additional Airbus A321s. AJW originally signed a five year power-by-the-hour contract with the European airline in 2014 to provide ongoing support for one of the airline’s A320 aircraft.

AJW Aviation is to provide full power-by-the-hour services to Greek airline Ellinair for its single A319 aircraft. AJW Leasing will also site main base kit at its operational headquarters in Macedonia International Airport in Thessaloniki. The airline plans to increase its fleet of Airbus A320 Family aircraft to five within two years.

Boeing has signed a contract with British Airways to provide Component Services for its 787 Dreamliner fleet. Under the 12-year agreement, Boeing will supply a carefully selected pool of high-value parts, enabling the airline to reduce its inventory management costs while improving component availability. Component Services, part of Boeing GoldCare, offers solutions for airlines’ materials, engineering and maintenance needs. British Airways currently has eight 787s with 34 more on order, adding an additional 42 aircraft to Boeing’s growing Component Services customer base.

Direct Maintenance is providing comprehensive line maintenance coverage to Qatar Airways at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda for Airbus A320 passenger aircraft and A330 freighters. It has also started to support China Southern Airlines A330s at Nairobi, Kenya.

GMF AeroAsia has successfully completed a lease transition for Aercap of an Airbus A330-200 from Garuda Indonesia to Beijing Capital Airlines, including cabin refurbishment and painting.

GMF AeroAsia will receive aircraft from four Iranian airlines for maintenance. By the end of 2015, Atrak Air will have sent three Airbus A320s and ATA Air two Boeing 737 Classic aircraft for C checks and CFM 56-3 engines for overhaul. Two other Iranian airlines have scheduled maintenance in 2016.

HAITEC Aircraft Maintenance recently performed its first D check on a Boeing 747-400 freighter of Azerbaijan’s Silk Way Airlines. Downtime was 32 days and over 2,300 routine and non-routine jobs were completed within 26,000 man hours. Around 800 findings were rectified during the check.

Lufthansa Technik and Spanish airline Air Europa have signed a comprehensive long-term component supply agreement for the airline’s future fleet of up to 22 Boeing 787 aircraft. The contract will start with the arrival of the first 787 in March 2016. The Total Component Support agreement covers airframe and engine related component overhaul, engineering services as well as pooling and Home Base Lease. The component supply will be via the Lufthansa Technik facilities in Frankfurt and Hamburg.

Magnetic MRO (MMRO) has signed its first power-by-the-hour components solutions to support the growing Boeing 737 fleet of Grand Cru Airlines of Lithuania, including 24/7 AOG support and component stock at the customer’s base.

StandardAero has signed a 12 year contract with Mesa Airlines to perform MRO services for APS2300 APUs on its fleet of 30 EMBRAER 175 aircraft.
