Esterline Avionics Systems says it continues to support DAC International, an approved worldwide distributor for Esterline’s CMA-6800 LCD Display, to develop a Part 25 FAA STC to allow for CMA-6800 LCD Display upgrades on a variety of aircraft. DAC International recently received EASA, Mexican DGAC (Direccion General de Aeronautica) and Brazil National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) approvals for the Part 25 AML Supplemental Type Certificate for the Esterline CMA-6800 Display. The AML includes the Hawker 800/800XP/1000, Bombardier Challenger 601-3A/3R, Bombardier Dash 8 Series 100/200/300 and CL-415, Cessna Citation 650, Dassault Falcon 900, Fokker 50 and the Gulfstream III. DAC International partnered with Peregrine to complete the engineering, test and certification activity required for this AML STC, initially obtained with the FAA.

Fokker Services has received the first order for its new ADS-B Out modification from Air Iceland for two Bombardier Q200 and three Q400 aircraft. The new version of ADS-B Out (Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast) is mandated on all aircraft flying in both Europe and the US by 2020. It broadcasts relevant data from the aircraft to air traffic management organisations, including aircraft identity, GPS location and direction of flight with improved data accuracy and reliability over the current system. Fokker Services supplies a fully certified STC, all updates of relevant aircraft documentation, a complete modification kit to install on the aircraft and installation support.
