AAR has signed a power-by-the-hour parts inventory management and exchange programme with IBEX Airlines in Japan, a regional feeder for ANA. The agreement includes management of the complete component repair cycle at a firm fixed price. IBEX will also have access to the AAR pool of inventory through exchanges and procurement. The programme began with two Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft and will expand to nine in the coming months, which includes seven CRJ700 aircraft.


AFI KLM E&M and Oman Air have signed a new, long-term contract providing flight hour support for CFM56-7 power plants equipping Boeing 737NGs.


AFI KLM E&M and SF Airlines of China have finalised an engine support contract covering three CF6-80C2 engines owned by the airline. The scope of the contract includes repair and overhaul of the three engines, plus spares support with provision of spare engines. 


AFI KLM E&M and Uni-Top Airlines have signed a support agreement for the CF6-80C2 engines powering the Chinese carrier’s seven Airbus A300 aircraft. The contract includes repair and overhaul of the engines concerned, along with spare engines to guarantee operational availability. A total of 14 shop visits have been scheduled to date.


AFI KLM E&M has extended its current engine maintenance contract with South Korean budget airline JeJu Air in order to cover a further 18 shop visits. The long-term MRO agreement covers the CFM56-7B power plants that are equipped on Jeju’s 737-800 fleet, which will grow to 40 aircraft.


GE Aviation and Singapore Airlines have signed an extension to the OnPoint solution agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the GE90-115B engines that power 19 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.


GE Aviation signed a 15 year OnPoint materials solution agreement with China Airlines for the CF6-80E engines powering its Airbus A330 fleet. Under the terms of the agreement GE will supply materials – including new parts, component repairs and used serviceable material – to the airline for use in the overhaul of its CF6-80E engines. In addition, GE will have dedicated on-site personnel to manage the material requirements, availability and logistics in order to support the shop operations and work with China Airlines to improve the overhaul experience.


IAE International Aero Engines has signed a V-Services Fleet Hour Agreement with three of HNA Group’s subsidiaries to maintain a fleet of 46 V2500 engines. The agreement is for West Air, Beijing Capital and Tianjin Airlines


Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) and Batam Aero Technik have signed an MoU to cooperate in the area of PW127M engine MRO in the future. Batam Aero Technik is the technical arm of the Lion Air Group, which operates the biggest fleet of ATR aircraft worldwide within its group airlines, Wings Abadi and Malindo. Within this cooperation LTAA will provide comprehensive support for Batam Aero Technik for the build-up of an engine MRO facility in Batam. Until the new facility reaches the required capabilities to support Lion Air Group’s fleet, LTAA will provide the services in its own facility.


MTU Maintenance has signed an exclusive agreement with South American LATAM Airlines Group for the maintenance of a portion of the airline’s GE90-110 engines, which are operated on Boeing 777 freighters. The contract also includes worldwide on-wing and on-site services.
