AAR has signed a power-by-the-hour parts inventory management and exchange programme with IBEX Airlines in Japan, a regional feeder for ANA. The agreement includes management of the complete component repair cycle at a firm fixed price. IBEX will also have access to the AAR pool of inventory through exchanges and procurement. The programme began with two Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft and will expand to nine in the coming months, which includes seven CRJ700 aircraft.

AERIA Luxury Interiors, the VIP completions subsidiary of ST Aerospace, redelivered its first green Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) for an undisclosed customer at the end of December 2015. The San Antonio based affiliate company accepted the green BBJ in late 2014 directly from Boeing.

 

The BBJ VIP interior features a dedicated forward crew lounge, finished galley, conference room, large resting lounge and master suite. 3D printed items are showcased in the interior as decorative pieces with elegant finishes, including the application of precious stone. Multiple HD monitors complement the modern digital entertainment system. The luxury cabin was also outfitted with a humidification and zonal drying system. A custom designed exterior paint scheme was included with the design package created by the in-house AERIA design team.

Aeronautical Engineers Inc (AEI) has signed a deal with ASL Aviation Group, based in Dublin, Ireland, to provide three 11 pallet position Boeing 737-400SF freighter conversions. All three aircraft (MSN 25177, MSN 24917 and MSN 26065) will be re-delivered to ASL in May, June and July of this year, respectively. The aircraft are being converted at Commercial Jet’s Miami, FL, facility. It has also signed with San Francisco based World Star Aviation to provide an 11 pallet position 737-400SF freighter conversion. The aircraft, built in 1990 (MSN 24796), is standard gross weight and is being modified at Commercial Jet’s Dothan, AL, facility. The freighter will be re-delivered to World Star in June of 2016.

 

Finally, it has signed a contract with Luxembourg-based JMV Aviation to provide an 11 pallet position 737-400SF freighter conversion. The high gross weight aircraft (MSN 24959) is being modified at Commercial Jet’s Dothan, Alabama facility. The freighter will be re-delivered to JMV Aviation in June and will then be leased to the end customer, West Atlantic.

AFI KLM E&M and Air Caraïbes Atlantique have announced the signing of a long-term agreement covering total care support for the airline’s Airbus A330 and A350 fleets. The contract includes line maintenance, A-checks and C-checks, component support (repairs, pool access, Main Base Kit) and engineering support for the aircraft, their engines and components.

AFI KLM E&M and GMF AeroAsia have signed an MoU to extend and develop their present MRO partnership. Recently the companies also signed a CFM56-7B overhaul and repair contract, together with a contract for Boeing 747-400 C checks. The number of engines and aircraft covered by the two contracts can be extended. The MoU covers several areas of cooperation, including component support synergies for the Boeing and Airbus fleet, as well as the maintenance of GE90, CFM56-7 and other CFM56 engine series supported via the AFI KLM E&M global network. In the framework of this MoU, AFI KLM E&M is considering subcontracting maintenance services for 747 series to GMF, in addition to those already contracted. These concern specific aircraft maintenance programmes for several fleets, especially the 747-400. One C and one D check have been scheduled for 2016 involving KLM’s 747-400s.

AFI KLM E&M and Oman Air have signed a new, long-term contract providing flight hour support for CFM56-7 power plants equipping Boeing 737NGs.

AFI KLM E&M and SF Airlines of China have finalised an engine support contract covering three CF6-80C2 engines owned by the airline. The scope of the contract includes repair and overhaul of the three engines, plus spares support with provision of spare engines.

AFI KLM E&M and Uni-Top Airlines have signed a support agreement for the CF6-80C2 engines powering the Chinese carrier’s seven Airbus A300 aircraft. The contract includes repair and overhaul of the engines concerned, along with spare engines to guarantee operational availability. A total of 14 shop visits have been scheduled to date.

AFI KLM E&M has extended a long-term Boeing Next-Generation 737 Rotable Components Maintenance and Pooling Services agreement with Transavia, dedicated to its Amsterdam-based fleet. The agreement comes under the Component Services Program (CSP) jointly operated by AFI KLM E&M and Boeing. The contract covers component maintenance and flexible availability solutions, including the management of components (part numbers) under a flight hour rate. All Transavia fleets are supported by AFI KLM E&M under the Boeing 737 CSP.

AFI KLM E&M has extended its current engine maintenance contract with South Korean budget airline JeJu Air in order to cover a further 18 shop visits. The long-term MRO agreement covers the CFM56-7B power plants that are equipped on Jeju’s 737-800 fleet, which will grow to 40 aircraft.
