Ameco has signed a three-year engine services contract with  Ethiopian Airlines to become one of the service providers for engine repair and overhaul services on Pratt & Whitney PW4000s powering the African carrier’s Boeing 767 fleet. Currently, the first engine is under repair in the Ameco workshop in Beijing.

Honeywell Aerospace has signed a five-year agreement with Jet Airways to provide GTCP331-500 APU maintenance services on 10 Boeing 777 aircraft. The agreement is an extension of Jet Airways’ comprehensive APU maintenance programmes that are already in place for its Boeing 737NG and Airbus A330 aircraft.

Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions (LMCES) has signed an eight-year, exclusive contract with Frontier Airlines to perform CFM56-5 engine maintenance for its Airbus A319s and A320ceos. Under the new agreement, services will be performed at the LMCES Montreal facility with initial delivery orders beginning in the first quarter of 2016, continuing through to 2023. Before selecting LMCES as their CFM56-5 MRO provider, Frontier Airlines first sent several engines to the Montreal facility for repair. The performance results were among the reasons Frontier selected LMCES.

Lufthansa Technik has entered into a new long-term agreement with Taiwan-based low-cost carrier, Tigerair Taiwan, providing maintenance, including LRU (linereplaceable unit) services, for the APS 3200 APUs of its growing Airbus A320 fleet. The contract also covers pooling supply of APU components via Lufthansa Technik’s warehouse in Singapore.
