Avmax has created ADS-B Out solutions for Bombardier Dash 8 and CRJ aircraft. The solutions are Part 25 Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) for Dash 8 Series 100/200/300 and CRJ100/200/700/900; both aircraft types are approved by Transport Canada Civil Aviation Administration (TCCA) and the FAA, with EASA approval pending.

Esterline CMC Electronics has received FAA STC Approval for the Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) upgrade on ATR 42/72 aircraft with its CMA-6800 Display Solution. The CMA-6800 is an Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display (AMLCD), a form, fit and function interchangeable solution for legacy Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays. There is absolutely no change in cockpit operations, since the unit can be installed seamlessly with existing symbol generators and control panels.

The CMA-6800 display operates at a cooler temperature and offers significant improvements in reliability, reduced weight and lower life cycle cost compared to legacy CRTs. The upgrade can be quickly done with no retraining required and with minimum disruption to aircraft operations. The design of the CMA-6800 also has built-in I/O and processor provisions to add functional capabilities for the future as well as the current mandates.
