AFI KLM E&M has signed an agreement with UTC Aerospace Systems covering aircraft maintenance services in connection with Airbus A350 components.

Airbus is to provide Flight Hour Services (FHS) components support to Cathay Pacific Airways for its new A350 XWB fleet (22 A350-900s, plus 26 A350-1000s that are on order). The long-term agreement covers guaranteed spare parts availability, maintenance and logistics services at both Cathay Pacific’s main base and selected outstations, as well as flight simulator support. The agreement also covers Integrated Material Services (IMS), whereby the purchasing and planning of the airline’s A350 XWB expendables inventories are outsourced to Airbus’ dedicated materials management subsidiary, Satair Group.

Ameco completed its first Airbus A330 landing gear overhaul in March for Air China.

Ameco has completed its first V2500-A5 engine thrust reverser repair in mid-March, which is from Air China. Meanwhile, the first CFM56-5B series engine thrust reverser repair was scheduled for redelivery in April. Ameco is now developing the Trent 700 engine thrust reverser capability.

Barfield, AFI KLM E&M’s North American subsidiary, has announced the signing of an agreement with JetBlue, a long-standing partner. The agreement covers component repairs on a flight-hour basis, plus component engineering and logistics support for the carrier’s 130 Airbus A320s and 25 Airbus A321s. The signing extends a 10-year working relationship between the two companies.

Fokker Services has entered into a long-term ABACUS programme with CityJet, located in Dublin, Ireland, for its fleet of eight Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft. Fokker Services will provide nose-to-tail PBH component management, as well as lease, availability and maintenance services. The programme will also cater for six optional aircraft, two of which have already been exercised and four that may be phased in as of next year.

GA Telesis Composite Repair Group (CRG) has signed Strategic Nacelle Access Programme (SNAP) agreements with DHL (Boeing 757 and 767), VivaAerobus of Mexico (Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG) and SmartLynx Airlines of Latvia (A320). The agreement provides free access to pooled serviceable nacelle and flight control surfaces for immediate exchange/loan.

GA Telesis has announced a five-year extension to its flight hour programme agreement with Copenhagen-based airline, Star Air. Now designated as an iGEAR programme, it provides inventory support, component maintenance and supply chain solutions for the airline’s fleet of 12 Boeing 767 freighters.

GA Telesis has entered into a five-year agreement with Eastern Air Lines Group, which becomes the launch customer for the iGEAR programme. This includes component flight hour support, nacelle support with SNAP (Strategic Nacelle Access Programme), as well as a comprehensive engine maintenance support programme.

 

The five-year partnership will cover Eastern’s initial fleet of five Boeing 737NG aircraft, with plans to expand the programme to eight aircraft by 2017. GA Telesis’ integrated service offering will also provide Eastern with 24/7, 365 AOG support in North America, as well as a main base kit positioned at Miami. The programme will be managed by GA Telesis’ Component Solutions Group (CSG) and supported via its in-house repair services through GA Telesis Component Repair Group (CRG), GA Telesis Composite Repair Group Southeast (CRG-SE), and GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES).

Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg and Borajet Airlines of Turkey have entered into an agreement covering the overhaul of the landing gear systems on board the airline’s EMBRAER 190/195 aircraft.
