AAR has signed long-term power-by-the-hour (PBH) contracts with Volotea of Spain and fastjet of Tanzania. It will support Volotea’s new fleet of Airbus A319s with a home-base kit. The agreement includes management of the complete component repair cycle. It will also have access to the entire AAR pool of inventory through exchanges and procurement. The full PBH programme will grow to a fleet of more than 50 A319 aircraft. For fastjet’s A319 fleet, AAR will provide nose-to-tail management of airframe components and repairs, including deployment of its proprietary predictive-maintenance software to ensure the right parts are in the right place at the right time. Both contracts will also be supported by AAR’s global warehouse network, with a primary parts pool in Brussels.

Avtrade has signed an exclusive consignment programme with Spanish charter company Evelop Airlines. Avtrade will market and offer Evelop owned Airbus A320 and A330 inventory, immediately available on exchange basis. Located at Evelop’s facility in Spain, this stock enables Avtrade to deliver local enhanced support to its customers across Europe, providing increased stock options and reduced lead times.

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has announced that SWISS International Air Lines has selected its Smart Parts Program to provide component support for the airline’s fleet of C Series aircraft. The 10-year agreement includes comprehensive component MRO services, access to a strategically located spare part exchange pool, and an on-site inventory based at the airline’s main hub in Zurich, Switzerland. SWISS is the launch operator for the C Series, with the first CS100 scheduled to be delivered by Bombardier in June 2016. SWISS will take delivery of a total of 30 CS100 and CS300 aircraft.

Liebherr-Aerospace and Tunisair Technics have signed a Repair and Services Agreement covering Airbus A319/A320 and A330 as well as ATR 72 and Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft operated respectively by Tunisair and Tunisair Express. The support services will be performed by Liebherr-Aerospace’s service stations in Lindenberg, Germany, for landing gear and flight control systems, and in Toulouse, France, for air management systems.
