Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT) has entered into an agreement with China Eastern Airlines to provide line maintenance for a new Shanghai to Prague route. Operated three times a week, initial services will be flown by Airbus A330s and, eventually, by Boeing 767s and 777s. CSAT has been providing line maintenance for Hainan Airlines since September 2015 and Sichuan Airlines from earlier this year.

Direct Maintenance and freight carrier Silk Way West Airlines, based in Baku, Azerbaijan, have entered into a long term line maintenance partnership to cover Boeing 747-8F and 747-400F at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. As part of this agreement, Direct Maintenance has successfully obtained Bermuda DCA approval to issue Certification of Release to Service on Bermuda-registered aircraft.

Direct Maintenance is providing a tailor-made line maintenance support package to Icelandair for Boeing 767 operations at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Also at Schiphol, the company looked after ‘Ed Force One’, with the Boeing 747-00 being used to support the tour of Iron Maiden while the band performed in Arnhem.

Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited has received EASA and GCAA Part 145 approvals to provide line maintenance support for Airbus A380 operators at Birmingham Airport.
