AerFin has signed a seven-year Beyond Pool fixed cost agreement with BA CityFlyer to support its fleet of 20 Embraer E-Jets.

AFI KLM E&M and Indian low cost carrier IndiGo have signed a component support contract covering 30 ATR 72-600 aircraft, delivery of which is to begin in the near future. The services to bedelivered by AFI KLM E&M include repairs, dedicated pool access, provision of a Main Base Kit and logistics support.

AFI KLM E&M has signed a full component support agreement with Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries(SAEI) for a fleet of Boeing 787-9s operated by SAEI’s sister company, Saudi Airlines. The fleet will ultimately comprise 21 aircraft. AFI KLM E&M will provide component maintenance and repair services, along with the related logistics, as well as access to its spares pools in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Airbus has signed long-term agreementswith Sichuan Airlines, based in Chengdu, to provide selected Flight Hour Services (FHS) and Airbus Real Time Health Monitoring Service (AiRTHM) to provide components and predictive maintenance support for its new fleet of four A350 XWBs.FHS-Components provides an extensive scope of A350 LRUs and APU, guaranteed spare parts availability through pool accessservice and on-site stock at customer mainbase, as well as component reliability management and maintenance. In addition, AiRTHM brings a proactive maintenance mode to A350 operations.

Boeing has announced Azerbaijan Airlines will be the launch customer for the 787 Landing Gear Exchange Program, whereby Global Services will provide the carrier with a lower-cost solution for overhauled and certified landing gears for its Dreamliner fleet, which now grows to seven aircraft. Boeing’s 787 Landing Gear Overhaul and Exchange Program provides a simpleand economical solution for managing landing gear overhauls, while building on Boeing’s successful history of exchangeprogrammes. Through the offering, a carrier can exchange landing gears that need to be repaired or overhauled for another set of certified landing gears from a pool that Boeing maintains. This service eliminates the need for operators to contract, schedule and manage the overhaul process.

Boeing has signed a 10-year agreement with Oman Air to provide LRU support for 787 Dreamliner engines custom services from the Boeing Global Fleet Care portfolio. The agreement, which provides Line Replaceable Unit support, builds on the foundation of a previously contracted Component Services Program with the airline in 2015 and strengthens the services commitment. “The ability to customise our propulsion support will augment our overall maintenance operations flexibility for our fleet,” said Ali Redha Al-Lawatiya, Executive Vice President – Engineering and Maintenance, Oman Air. “It is a great addition to our long-term partnership.”

 

Under the terms of the agreement, Boeing will support Line Replaceable Units for the 787 engines of the Oman Air Dreamliner fleet. A Line Replaceable Unit is a component that is designed to be replaced quickly during maintenance or overhaul, such as a hydraulic pump or an integrated drive generator. The agreement covers 10 years of service.

Embraer and Austral Líneas Aéreas, Aerolíneas Argentina’s domestic airline, have extended their Flight Hour Pool Program agreement until 2021 tocontinue providing repairable componentsupport for the carrier’s fleet of 26 E190 Jet aircraft. The multi-year programme, originally began in 2011, and features both the Pool Program and repair managementservices for the carrier’s E-Jets, which includes material services engineering, advanced component exchanges from Embraer’s spare parts warehouse in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and a dedicated logistics channel to deliver parts to the Aerolíneas Argentinas cargo facility in Miami, FL.

HAECO ITM has reached an agreement with Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) to provide inventory technical management support for the airline’s Boeing 747-8 freighter fleet. The scope of the agreement includes component inventory access, component exchange, component repair management, component engineering and AOG support at guaranteed service level to ensure NCA’s component reliability and operational efficiency.

Honeywell has signed a 15-year Component Service Solutions agreement with Emirates to maintain aftermarket components on the airline’s fleet of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft. The technology used in this agreement extends through 2031 and covers comprehensive component repairs and support solutions for Emirates’ fleet.

Lufthansa Technik has signed a six-year Total Component Support (TCS) contract for the fleet of A320s operated by the Philippine carrier Pan Pacific Airlines. The integrated component support comprises the repair and overhaul of components, as well as pooling and spare part leasing at the airline’s home base. To safeguard Pan Pacific Airlines’ daily operations, Lufthansa Technik guarantees 100% reliable deliveries from its TCS pool of more than 100,000 different components.
