AFI KLM E&M and Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier, have signed a long-term maintenance contract for APS5000 APUs equipping the airline’s 10 new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, including a guarantee covering APU replacement. The repair services will be provided by AFI KLM E&M subsidiary EPCOR.

AFI KLM E&M has expanded its partnership with South Korean low cost carrier Jeju Air by increasing the scope of its existing engine support contract to include a further 10 shop visits. The initial agreement covered maintenance and repair services for the CFM56-7B powerplants equipping Jeju Air’s fleet of Boeing 737-800s.

AFI KLM E&M has signed a support contract with Aeromexico for APS5000 APUs equipping its fleet of Boeing 787s. The work will be carried out by subsidiary EPCOR. The services include repairs plus access to a dedicated spares pool and the sale of a spare APU at preferential conditions.

CFM International and Gulf Air have signed a 10-year Rate Per Flight Hour agreement as part of the purchase of 58 LEAP-1A engines to power 17 AirbusA321neo and 12 A320neo aircraft, as well as an additional seven spare engines to support fleet operations. The engine order is valued at approximately $1.9 billion at list price, including the long-term service agreement.

CFM International has signed a 15-year Rate Per Flight Hour maintenance agreement with SilkAir to support the LEAP-1B engines that will power its new fleet of 37 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The agreement is valued at $1 billion at list price and includes a total of 80 engines.

CFM International has signed a nine-year Rate Per Flight Hour maintenance agreement with Alaska Airlines to support 128 CFM56-7B engines that power the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The agreement, which includes spare engines, is valued at nearly $500 million at list price.

CFM International has signed an MoU for a 12-year Rate Per Flight Hour agreement with Chile’s Sky Airline to support the LEAP-1A engines that will power the airline’s new fleet of 21 leased Airbus A320neo aircraft. The agreement is valued at about $600 million, including spare engines. The leased aircraft are scheduled for delivery between 2018 and 2021.

GE Aviation and Ethiopian Airlines added eight GE90-115B engines for four newly ordered Boeing 777 Freighters to an existing 12-year TrueChoice Flight Hour agreement for MRO services of the Ethiopian Airlines’ GE90 engine fleet. The engine order and expanded services agreement are valued at more than $450 million list price over the life of the service agreement.
