Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has signed a contract to provide two Bombardier CRJ200 SF freighter conversions to Mexico-based Aeronaves TSM. The first CRJ200 will commence modification in 2Q17 with redelivery in mid-2017. The second CRJ200 will commence modification in July 2017, with redelivery scheduled for October. Both freighter conversions will take place at Commercial Jet’s Dothan, AL, facility. TSM is a significant customer for AEI as the company currently operates three AEI McDonnell Douglas MD-80SF series freighters and will take delivery of an additional two AEI MD-80SF series freighters during the first quarter of 2017.


FL Technics Indonesia has launched base maintenance services in its facilities at Jakarta’s Soekarno–Hatta International Airport with the arrival of a Boeing 737-800 from local carrier Batik Air for a C check due to be finished in early February. This follows the receipt of Indonesian DGCA base maintenance approval earlier in January 2017. The company plans to expand its geographical coverage by adding base maintenance approvals from aviation authorities in Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.


Joramco is providing C checks and cabin modifications on two Airbus A340s of Lufthansa. The maintenance activities are scheduled to commence during January and to continue through February 2017.


Precision Aircraft Solutions has completed its 28th passenger-to-freighter conversion for the DHL global network. The conversion is also Precision’s 12th redelivery in less than a year to the DHL affiliate European Air Transport Leipzig. Conversion of the 757-200 aircraft, MSN 26275, was performed at HAECO Americas in Greensboro, NC.


Premier Aviation and JetBlue have signed a five-year Embraer E190 heavy maintenance and paint agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, the aircraft maintenance of two lines of E190 aircraft begin in Rome, NY, and will grow to support the painting of two lines of aircraft, which will initially be supported at Premier’s Trois-Rivières, Quebec facility.
