Boeing has announced an agreement with AirBridgeCargo Airlines to support the airline’s 747 Freighters through the Boeing Landing Gear Overhaul and Exchange Program. The Russia-based cargo carrier will receive fully overhauled and certified landing gear to support nine of its 747 Freighters through the Boeing Landing Gear Overhaul and Exchange Program, with an ultimate commitment covering 18 additional 747s in the airline’s fleet. Through the Program, landing gear that needs to be repaired or overhauled can be exchanged for another set of certified landing gear from a pool that Boeing maintains, eliminating the need for customers to contract, schedule and manage the overhaul process.
