Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has announced that the third 11 pallet position 737-400SF freighter (MSN 25849) for Kalitta Charters has arrived at Commercial Jet’s Miami, FL, facility for commence modification. The aircraft will be re-delivered at the beginning of September.


AFI KLM E&M will carry out two Airbus A320 C Checks for Congo Airways this spring, which will take place at the Aerotechnic Industries (ATI) facility at Mohamed V International Airport, Casablanca, Morocco. ATI is a 50/50 joint venture between AFI KLM E&M and Royal Air Maroc.


Ameco Chengdu delivered a converted Boeing 757 aircraft to China Postal Airlines in the first half of May. This is the sixth Boeing 757 aircraft delivered by Ameco Chengdu Branch since 2014, although the first for China Postal, with another three 757s in progress. 


Ameco and Boeing have signed a five-year agreement that authorises Ameco as an official Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) Warranty Service Center in Asia. Currently, Ameco is the sole BBJ Warranty Service Center in the Asia region.


Associated Air Center (AAC) recently redelivered a VVIP Airbus A319 and a VIP Boeing 737-500.


The A319 was delivered following cabin refurbishment and scheduled maintenance for a repeat, long-time Asian customer. AAC designed the new look cabin along with entertainment and seating upgrades.


The installation included a new Rockwell Collins Venue cabin management and entertainment system. AAC technicians also installed ten new Precision Aircraft Components single seats with complete seat amenities including lumbar, heat, full electric operation and retractable armrests. The project also included the installation of a U-shaped divan that can be operated electronically to both daybed and full queen bed positions. An additional three-place divan was installed that can sleep two passengers.


Scheduled aircraft maintenance included Service Bulletins/Airworthiness Directives compliance and overhaul of the auxiliary power unit. All services took place at the AAC facility, located in Dallas, Texas.


This aircraft was also fitted with a CTT Systems CAIR cabin-wide humidification system, installed via a FAA STC developed in conjunction with StandardAero’s Organization Delegation Authority team. In addition to the A319 installation, the new STC will apply and be available to CAIR cabin wide humidification systems on the rest of the Airbus A320 Family.


The US-based 737-500 project included removing a custom cabin from a 737-200 donor aircraft, including interface between the two airframes to address the differences between aircraft models.


The custom cabin installation included a new executive lavatory, fabricated by AAC technicians. Downtime included scheduled maintenance plus Corrosion Protection and Control Programs (CPCP) inspections, gear and flap overhauls and flight control removal/reinstallation to restore paint finish. The work was completed in only four months at AAC’s facility in Dallas Texas.


C&L Aviation Group has renewed its three-year Aircraft Maintenance Support Agreement with PenAir to perform Saab 340 maintenance. The contract includes heavy checks, aircraft painting, component repair, interior refurbishment, and other aircraft maintenance support services.


EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING has won heavy maintenance contracts with Air Zimbabwe for a Boeing 737-800 aircraft and with Kam Air of Afghanistan for an Airbus A340.


Jet Aviation recently redelivered a refurbished Boeing 737, which was completed in conjunction with a scheduled C-1 maintenance inspection. The BBJ1 had been out of service for a number of years before it was sold to the new owner and subsequently refurbished. The same aircraft was also outfitted by Jet Aviation in 1999, and happens to be the first BBJ completions contract the company was ever awardedThe aircraft was recently sold with low usage to the current owner, who decided to refurbish it entirely.


The full interior refurbishment was completed without making any structural changes. Some of the wood marquetry was removed and replaced, such as that of the valances. All of the chairs, sidewalls and carpets were replaced, and the entire exterior was painted.


In addition to the refurbishment, C-1 Check and general defect rectifications, the maintenance facility installed a new Rockwell Collins Venue Cabin Management System, activated Swift Broadband, upgraded the Future Aircraft Navigation System and configured ADS-B Out. It also improved the soundproofing using its new targeted sound prediction technology and implemented a number of service bulletins, including a Low Cabin Altitude modification.


Precision Aircraft Solutions has completed its sixth Boeing 757-200 passenger-to-freighter conversion for CargoJet, a scheduled cargo airline based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Work on the 757-200PCF aircraft (MSN 24605) was performed at Flightstar in Jacksonville, FL.
