AAR has secured an extension of its power-by-the-hour contract supporting Air Austral’s fleet of Boeing 737NG aircraft, which began in 2009.

AAR has signed a multi-year component support agreement with Viva Colombia and Viva Air Peru. AAR will make inventory available from its facilities in Miami and Chicago, as well as positioning stock in Bogota, Medellin and Lima.

AAR has signed a multi-year contract to provide power-by-the-hour component support for Wataniya Airways of Kuwait.

AAR will support Wataniya’s fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft through its extensive inventory network, including parts warehouses in Dubai and Europe, and will position local stock in Kuwait.

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has signed a contract to provide Mexico-based Aeronaves TSM (TSM) with two additional McDonnell Douglas MD-83SF freighter conversions. The first MD-83 aircraft (MSN 53288) will commence modification in the beginning of June and will be redelivered in September 2017. Commercial Jet’s Miami, FL, facility will perform the modification and maintenance requirements on the first aircraft. The second MD-83 (MSN 53289) will commence modification in late June and will be redelivered in October 2017. Commercial Jet’s Dothan, AL, facility will perform the modification and maintenance requirements on the second aircraft. TSM represents the largest overall operator of AEI’s MD-80SF series converted freighters. Including this order, TSM will operate a total of seven aircraft.

AFI KLM E&M and Air Canada have extended the scope and duration of the GE90 support contract originally signed between the two groups in 2010 to include four additional engines powering the two latest Boeing 777-300ERs to enter the Canadian flag carrier’s fleet. The contract’s duration has also been extended.

AFI KLM E&M has entered into a long term Component Pooling Services Agreement with Qantas Airways in association with Jetstar to support their fleet of Boeing 787s. The contract covers pool access and repairs and applies to a total fleet of eight 787-9s to be operated by Qantas, and the eleven 787-8s in service with Jetstar. To guarantee maximum availability for the supported fleets, Qantas Airways and Jetstar will benefit from direct access to the AFI KLM E&M spares pool stationed at Kuala Lumpur and will be able to rely on its worldwide network of inventories and component repair shops, including AFI KLM E&M main facilities in Paris and Amsterdam. This brings the total number of 787 customer airlines contracted by AFI KLM E&M to 15.

AFI KLM E&M has won the component support contract for Air Mauritius’s new Airbus A350s. The long-term contract covers a total of six aircraft, the first two of which will be delivered this year. In addition to pool access and repairs, the contract covers the deployment of a Main Base Kit to meet the carrier’s local requirements at its base at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. The airline will also be able to tap into the AFI KLM E&M pool of nacelles, which are repaired at the Group’s Helios aero structures facility at Paris-CDG.

AFI KLM E&M will also provide all-round, long-term support during the new aircraft’s entry into service, including change-management training, immersion training for Air Mauritius personnel at AIR FRANCE KLM facilities in Paris, and on-job training for Mauritius-based certifying engineers. As part of the support provided, AFI KLM E&M will implement its PROGNOS predictive maintenance services.

AFI KLM E&M is to join the Rolls-Royce CareNetwork with an agreement covering Trent XWB engines. AIR FRANCE KLM has 25 Airbus A350 aircraft on order with 25 options, all powered by the Trent XWB. These engines will be supported under a TotalCare long term services arrangement, with engine maintenance carried out by AFI KLM E&M. In addition, both parties will co-operate on the repair of Rolls-Royce engine parts and components. First component repairs to be implemented by AFI KLM E&M are Trent 1000 LPC shaft and IPC front stub shaft, and Trent 1000/Trent XWB Tiled Combustion chambers.

Airbus has signed a Flight Hour Services Tailored Support Package (FHS-TSP) contract with JetSMART, a new Chilean low cost airline, for the provision of full components support and fleet technical management services for its brand new A320 Family aircraft. This five-year FHS-TSP contract guarantees spare parts availability through an extensive scope of A320 LRUs, components repair, transportation and expendables provisioning together with fleet technical management (FTM) services.

Airbus FHS contracts have now been selected to cover more than 372 aircraft from operators of A320, A330, A380 and A350 XWB.

Airbus has signed two Flight Hour Services (FHS) Components support agreements with Malaysia Airlines for its new fleet of six A350 XWB and existing fleet of 18 A330s. These long-term agreements cover guaranteed spare parts availability through an extensive scope of A350 XWB and A330 LRUs, maintenance and logistics services at Malaysia Airlines’ main base and selected outstations, as well as access to the FHS pool located at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, managed by Airbus.
