Lufthansa Technik and the Norwegian Air Shuttle Group have signed a contract extending an existing Total Engine Support (TES) contract for a further five years. It covers all-inclusive services for CFM56-7B engines powering the airline’s current fleet of 115 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Lufthansa Technik will cover all planned and unplanned shop visits at its dedicated CFM56 engine shop in Hamburg. The agreement also includes engine lease management, with Lufthansa Technik securing the lease of spare engines for Norwegian to ensure availability during peak overhaul periods. In addition, the contract includes the regular use of Lufthansa Technik’s proprietary Cyclean Engine Wash and on-site services such as Airline Support Team AST Engines as well as the use of the portable aerotracer device.
