Embraer and Widerøe of Norway have reached an agreement on a Flight Hour Pool Program for the airline’s soon to be inducted E190-E2 fleet. This is the first contract of its kind signed for the E-Jets E2. The agreement will cover more than 300 key rotable components. Widerøe will receive its first E190-E2 in April of 2018, beginning revenue service with the aircraft shortly afterwards. It has three firm orders and purchase rights for a further 12 aircraft.


GA Telesis MRO Services has announced a long-term Repair and Overhaul License Agreement and Parts Supply Agreement with Honeywell. GA Telesis will be providing repairs of over 175 base part number and line replacement unit (LRU) repair items and sourcing over 1,200 material supply line items from Honeywell Aerospace. Products include electro-mechanical, pneumatic and mechanical LRUs covering a variety of Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer fleet applications.


Limco Airepair has signed a two-year MRO agreement with Korean Air, valued at up to $2 million, for heat exchangers.


Lufthansa Technik has concluded an exclusive contract with its long-standing customer EVA Air to supply components for the Taiwan-based airline’s new Boeing 777F fleet. The integrated supply of components for the freighter aircraft within the scope of Total Component Support (TCS) includes the repair, overhaul and supply of line replaceable units. The availability of serviceable components is ensured via Lufthansa Technik’s worldwide warehouses, with inventories for the Asia-Pacific region kept in Hong Kong and Singapore. Customer services for the region, including engineering and logistics, are located in Hong Kong and in close proximity to EVA Air’s headquarters.


Rockwell Collins has renewed a Corporate Aircraft Service Program (CASP) for the next three years with France-based TWIN JET covering avionic for its fleet of 12 Beechcraft 1900D aircraft.


Safran Nacelles has been selected by Kuwait Airways and Egyptair to provide Rolls-Royce Trent 700 thrust reverser MRO services for its Airbus A330 fleets. For Kuwait Airways, the agreement involves scheduled soft time maintenance, the preventive primary maintenance performed at specific operator-chosen intervals, which can be adjusted to fit the airline’s operational schedule, along with coverage for unscheduled repair services and asset management. The Egyptair contract covers unscheduled maintenance services, asset management and a guaranteed service level with access to a Middle East pool of thrust reversers.


Taikoo (Xiamen) Landing Gear Services (HAECO Landing Gear Services) has announced that the company has recently completed the first Embraer E190/E195 landing gear overhaul in the Asia Pacific region contracted by Liebherr-Aerospace.


Turkish Technics has signed an Airbus A330 component repair and access contract with Turkish carrier Onur Air. The contract will be effective until 2023 and will run on an ATA Chapter basis. Access to components will be available from the Turkish Technic Istanbul main base and worldwide pooling stations. Repair work will be carried out at the Turkish Technic Sabiha Gokcen facilities.
