AAR Aircraft Component Repair – Amsterdam has announced an eight-year agreement with Russian airline Utair Aviation to provide component repair and exchange for Utair’s Boeing 737 and ATR fleets, as well as reliability engineering support to improve on-wing component reliability.



AcBAE Systems Regional Aircraft has secured a three-year Fleet Support Services contract from leading Swedish carrier Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA) covering a total of 12 Avro RJs. The scope of the contract includes a renewal of the long-standing JetSpares customised rotable spares rate-per-flying-hour support agreement, for which BRA is the longest standing customer, having been enrolled on this service since 1996. The new agreement covers 640 parts per aircraft over the 12 aircraft fleet (10 RJ100s and two RJ85s) and is for a minimum of 38,000 fleet flying hours across the three year period. Also signed is an agreement for rate-per-flying-hour coverage for the Honeywell GTCP36-150M APU that is fitted to eight Avro RJ100s in the BRA fleet. BRA has also extended its long-term Tech 21 agreement with BAE Systems. Tech 21 is a priority technical support service which nominates a dedicated engineer to handle and to ensure timely responses to technical issues.



AFI KLM E&M and XL Airways have extended their existing contract covering component support (repairs and pool access) and A checks for the French airline’s four Airbus A330s from its Paris-Charles de Gaulle base at Roissy. The scope of the contract could eventually be broadened to include support for other aircraft, depending
on the growth of the XL Airways fleet.


Safran Electrical & Power has signed a 10-year service contract with Singapore Airlines for the support of Airbus A380 electrical equipment, including maintenance, access to pool service (dedicated asset located in Singapore) and a door-to-door transportation service.



Triumph Aviation Services Asia, an operating company of Triumph Product Support based in Bangkok, has been selected by Boeing to provide aftermarket support in the Asia-Pacific region for their flight controls and engine nacelles, as well as thrust reverser service for the regional fleet of 777 aircraft. It will provide inspection, recertification and repair support on nacelle and flight control components for the Boeing lease and exchange service. The Triumph site was also selected as a supplier for the 777 thrust reverser service bulletin programme. The new agreement builds on years of collaboration between the two companies that dates to when the Triumph site was first approved as a Boeing repair station in 2012 to support 737NG (CFM56-7) and 777 (Trent 800) thrust reverser service programmes.



Turkish Technic and Atlasglobal have signed an agreement for the repair and supply of components for Atlasglobal’s Airbus A320 aircraft fleet. The agreement will be effective till 2023. The contract comprises component repair and supply on ATA Chapter basis. Access to components will be available from Turkish Technic Istanbul main base and worldwide pooling stations. Repair work of the components will be carried out at Turkish Technic Sabiha Gökçen facilities.



UTC Aerospace Systems has announced a 15-year contract extension with Singapore Airlines to provide asset management and repair services for the airline’s fleet of 19 Airbus A380 aircraft. The extension is worth nearly $200 million over the life of the programme. The long-term maintenance agreement is part of UTC Aerospace Systems’ Comprehensive Accessory Repair and Exchange (C.A.R.E.) program, which the airline has been part of for the past decade.

As part of the C.A.R.E. programme, UTC Aerospace Systems will provide inventory support and MRO services for 19 A380 aircraft. Products supported under the agreement include actuation, and controls, air management system, cabin pressure control systems, emergency power systems, fire protection systems, lighting, evacuation slides, and sensors and integrated systems. UTC Aerospace Systems has C.A.R.E. programmes in place with Singapore Airlines to support multiple components on the airline’s Boeing 777, Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 fleets totalling more than 130 aircraft.



UTC Aerospace Systems will supply wheels and brakes for eight Asian airlines: Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Hong Kong Airlines, Korean Air, Philippine Airlines and Sichuan Airlines, along with multiple Hainan Airlines Holding affiliated airlines. In addition, the company has also signed a landing gear MRO agreement with Singapore Airlines for its A380 aircraft. Taken together, the selections include more than 550 aircraft and represent more than $250 million in new business for UTC Aerospace Systems.
