AFI KLM E&M and Air Corsica have concluded a support contract covering the CFM56-5B engines and nacelles equipping the Corsican carrier’s Airbus A320 fleet. The contract covers on-wing/on-site support, shop visit scheduling and execution as well as access to spare engines.

Iberia Maintenance has signed a 10-year contract for inspection and repair of 40 Rolls-Royce RB211 535-E4 engines on the Boeing 757 fleets of DHL Air UK and Blue Dart, both subsidiaries of DHL Express. Iberia Maintenance already services the RB-211-535C engines belonging to the transport and logistic group’s Deutsche Post DHL unit.

Pratt & Whitney Canada has signed a new contract with Qantas for the maintenance of an additional 51 APUs on a variety of aircraft flown by the Qantas Group. The contract covers:

  • 20 APS2100 APUs for QantasLink Boeing 717 aircraft
  • 19 APS5000 APUs for Jetstar and Qantas Boeing 787 aircraft
  • 12 PW980 APUs for Qantas Airbus A380 aircraft.

Pratt & Whitney Canada has signed a three-year agreement with Air India’s regional carrier Alliance Air to deliver fleet maintenance services and support for PW127M engines powering ATR aircraft. The engines will be maintained in Singapore.

Rolls-Royce has signed contracts with Singapore Airlines covering Trent 1000 and Trent 700 engines. A TotalCare engine support agreement will cover Trent 1000 engines for 19 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, while a SelectCare support for agreement will cover Trent 700 engines that power 11 Airbus A330 aircraft.

SR Technics has extended its engine maintenance partnership with Ural Airlines for another six years, covering the airline’s CFM56-5B fleet. The new contract was signed in December 2017 and services on the carrier’s engines are set to begin in the second quarter of 2018. All work will be done at the SR Technics facilities in Zurich.

StandardAero was recently awarded an exclusive, eight-year agreement to provide Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M engine MRO services for the ATR 72-600 fleet of Taipei-based Far Eastern Air Transport Corporation (FAT).
