Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has redelivered two Boeing 737-400SF freighter conversions to Vx Capital Partners. The first aircraft (MSN 28887) was modified by KF Aerospace and the second aircraft (MSN 25376) was modified by Flightstar Aircraft Services. These two aircraft represent the 18th and 19th 737-400SF freighters delivered to Vx, making Vx the largest leasing company customer for AEI. Vx currently has two additional AEI 737-400SF freighter conversions undergoing modification, which will be redelivered in the beginning of the second quarter.

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has signed a contract to provide Fairbanks, AK-based Everts Air Cargo with two McDonnell Douglas MD-83SF series freighter conversions. The first MD-83 (MSN 53471) will commence modification in April and will be redelivered at the beginning of August. Immediately following, modification of the second MD-83 (MSN TBD) will commence and is scheduled for redelivery to Everts in December 2018. Both modifications will be performed by Commercial Jet’s Dothan, AL, facility.

AJW Group has secured a power-by-the-hour (PBH) contract with new Argentinian low cost carrier, Flybondi.com. The long-term contract, which covers their rapidly expanding fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft, will see AJW use its expertise to manage the complete supply, repair and overhaul of Flybondi.com’s rotable components.

CFM Services and SpiceJet have signed a 10-year Rate per Flight Hour (RPFH) maintenance agreement as part of a $12.5 billion agreement that finalises the purchase of LEAP-1B engines to power a total of 155 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes, along with spare engines to support the fleet.

GAMECO opened a line maintenance station in Auckland in March to support China Southern Airlines.

Indaer has completed a second ATR 42 major check in 2018 at its new and larger facilities in Medellin, Colombia. Both checks were performed for the Ecuadorian airline TAME, which has already confirmed the order for a third heavy check this year.

KLM UK Engineering has extended its contract with BA CityFlyer and reached an agreement to increase the level of line maintenance support on Embraer ERJ170/190 aircraft at Edinburgh.

Lufthansa Technik and Indian international carrier Jet Airways have expanded their cooperation with a Total Component Maintenance (TCM) contract for a fleet of 80 Boeing 737NG, with single components repaired in a closed-loop and flat rate-based process. In addition, the existing Total Component Support (TCS) contract for eight Airbus A330 and ten Boeing 777 aircraft was extended by another seven years.

MTU Maintenance has signed a five year agreement with new customer Tunisair Technics for the airline’s CFM56-5B/-7B engines. The contract covers MRO, on-site services and spare engine leasing support.

Rolls-Royce has signed a TotalCare service support agreement with Turkish Airlines for Trent XWB engines to power 25 Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The airline also has options for a further five aircraft.
