Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has inducted the fifth 11 pallet position Boeing 737-400SF freighter conversion for Kalitta Charters. The aircraft (MSN 25407) arrived at Commercial Jet’s Miami, FL facility and will be re-delivered in July 2018.


Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has signed a contract to provide Mexico-based Aeronaves TSM with a fourth Bombardier CRJ200 SF freighter conversion. The CRJ200 (MSN 7300) will commence modification in June 2018, with re-delivery scheduled for October 2018. Commercial Jet’s Dothan, AL, facility will handle the modification touch labour for the conversion. Ultimately, TSM plans on operating many more AEI CRJ200 SF converted freighters.


Bombardier Services Corporation and PSA Airlines recently signed a three-year extension to the parties’ heavy maintenance agreement. Under this contract, heavy maintenance tasks for the airline’s fleet of Bombardier CRJ200, CRJ700 and CRJ900 aircraft will be performed at Bombardier’s West Virginia Air Center. Bombardier has conducted heavy maintenance for PSA Airlines since 2005. PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group operates a fleet comprised exclusively of 126 CRJ regional jets. The airline operates the aircraft under the American Eagle regional brand.


Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS) in Nashville, TN, has signed an exclusive three-year agreement with CommutAir, a United Express carrier, to provide airframe maintenance, modification, and repair services for up to 61 ERJ 145 aircraft.


FL Technics has recently signed an agreement with Icelandic low cost carrier WOW Air for base maintenance services. The first two Airbus A321s arrived in Vilnius in early April.


FL Technics recently signed an agreement with Corendon Dutch Airlines for base maintenance services for three Boeing 737-800s.


Fokker Techniek, a business of GKN Aerospace, has signed a contract with long-term customer K5-Aviation for the first ever ACJ319neo VIP completion. The completion starts in May 2019 and is scheduled to be ready for delivery at the beginning of 2020.


S7 Technics Holding delivered a Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) aircraft to start-up Russian carrier Azimuth Airlines in early April from its maintenance base at Domodedovo Airport after a C check. The check included a large number of labour-intensive Service Bulletins issued by the aircraft’s producer, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC).


West Atlantic in the UK has taken delivery of the first Boeing 737-800BCF freighter conversion. This is the first of four to be delivered in the coming months on lease from GECAS.
