Aeronautical Engineers, Inc (AEI) has received EASA approval for the AEI Bombardier CRJ200 SF passenger-to-freighter conversion. The EASA approval (STC 10061615) allows for the operation of European registered CRJ200 SF freighters. AEI received the original FAA STC for the CRJ200 SF at the end of 2016 and has since amassed over 45 firm orders and commitments for the freighter. Currently, AEI has six CRJ200 aircraft undergoing freighter modification for various customers.

Certified Aviation Services (CAS) has carried out a 12-year heavy maintenance check on the last operating Lockheed L-1011 TriStar aircraft, which is operated by Orbital ATK as an airborne launch vehicle for the Pegasus rocket. The heavy maintenance visit included structural inspections and Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP), as well as structural inspections of all zones and removal of engines one and three to conduct the non-destructive inspection (NDI) of the engine mount bolts.

The project was completed 18 days earlier than the projected finish date.

GAMECO and Lufthansa Technik recently signed a four-year maintenance agreement for Airbus A380 aircraft. This is the first cooperation between the two parties in the aircraft overhaul and painting business. By the end of 2018, GAMECO will perform C checks and painting for four aircraft.

Jet Aviation is partnering with Sparfell & Partners, Winch Design and DS Aviation to develop a VVIP market solution for the Airbus ACJ380. Under the agreement, Jet Aviation will engineer, manage, manufacture, install and certify (STC) a VVIP cabin interior for the ACJ380. It has also received approval from Airbus Corporate Jets for the ACJ350 XWB and has signed a second Boeing 787 completions contract.

Joramco has been approved by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Authority (JCARC) and the FAA for Boeing 787 C checks.

Lufthansa Technik has become an approved outfitter for ACJ350 XWB aircraft. In the past months, Airbus Corporate Jets has undertaken extensive evaluations of the individual completion centres in its network regarding their capabilities to handle future modifications and completions of the ACJ350 XWB. The evaluation considered topics such as overall quality, adherence to deadlines and technical planning.
