Lufthansa Technik has signed support contracts with three major Russian passenger and cargo carriers: Aeroflot - Russian Airlines, Ural Airlines and AirBridgeCargo Airlines.

For Aeroflot, the services comprise MRO events for all Airframe Related Components (ARC) parts of Aeroflot's A320 Family aircraft, including modification services. Lufthansa Technik will also provide pooling services for specific components such as thrust reversers, inlet cowls and fan cowls. In addition, an exclusive home base stock for Aeroflot has been set up at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow. The provision of services already started in December 2018. For the first time, A-Technics, the MRO provider of Aeroflot Group in Moscow, is defined as the dedicated subcontractor for all ARC MRO activities within their capability.

Ural Airlines has contracted Lufthansa Technik to provide component support for 14 new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and extended the existing agreement to support the addition of Airbus A320neo aircraft to its fleet. Component MRO is performed under the terms of a Total Component Support (TCS) agreement and complemented by pooling services. The phase-in of the new aircraft is scheduled to begin this year. For optimum supply, the home base of the Russian carrier in Ekaterinburg will be appropriately enlarged with components for the new aircraft types. Component repairs will be performed within the Lufthansa Technik network, mainly at the Hamburg facility.

AirBridgeCargo Airlines has assigned Lufthansa Technik under a long-term Total Component Support (TCS) agreement for its six Boeing 747-400F freighters. Lufthansa Technik will perform comprehensive component services covering a list of approximately 1,400 parts, including leasing services for home base components.
