CFM International and Vietnam’s VietJet Air have finalised an agreement for the airline to purchase 200 LEAP-1B engines to power 100 additional Boeing 737 MAX airplanes, along with an extension of airline’s current Rate Per Flight Hour (RPFH) agreement to include the new engines. The agreement, which includes 15 spare engines, is valued at $5.3 billion.

Rolls-Royce has signed contracts for TotalCare long term services with Lufthansa Group to support Trent 1000 engines on 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Trent XWB engines on 20 Airbus A350 XWBs, and with STARLUX Airlines and Airbus in celebrating the official signing of the agreement for 17 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft and for Trent XWB engines.

 

STARLUX Airlines also signed a contract for Rolls-Royce’s flagship TotalCare long-term services for the engines.
