Boeing and GECAS have signed an agreement exercising 10 purchase rights to firm orders and adding 15 more purchase rights for the 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF). GECAS now has 65 orders and options for the 737-800BCF.

Amazon has announced a partnership with GECAS to lease an additional 15 Boeing 737-800 cargo aircraft. These aircraft will be in addition to the five Boeing 737-800’s already leased from GECAS and announced earlier this year. The aircraft will fly in the United States out of the more than 20 air gateways in the Amazon Air network. GECAS has plans to convert at least 50 of this type.


Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) has secured an LoI from leasing company BBAM for an Airbus A321 converted freighter. The aircraft will be inducted for conversion into a 14-pallet cargo configuration in mid-2020, and is scheduled for redelivery at the of end 2020.


Precision Aircraft Solutions has announced that Jetran International (Jetran) has positioned three 757-200s (MSN 24613, 24614 and 25296) for freighter conversion at the Flightstar Aircraft Services facility in Jacksonville, FL. These aircraft will be Jetran’s first 757-200PCFs with Precision and will be headed to Swiftair once completed.


VD Gulf has welcomed its first Boeing 777 customer for MRO services. The Iraqi Airways’ aircraft landed in Sharjah, UAE, to undergo heavy C-check and other out-of-phase tasks along with ADs/SBs. The whole process of base maintenance work took 14 days.
