AFI KLM E&M has signed a component support contract with Cambodia-based start-up airline Lanmei Airlines for ten Airbus A320s. The contract covers a wide range of components, as it also extends to aerostructure and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) for the V2500 and CFM engines. The services provided will include repairs, pool access, provision of a Main Base Kit (MBK) and AOG support in the Asia-Pacific region. It has also extended a 2017 component support contract with Cebu Pacific Air to include seven A321ceo and 32 A321neo aircraft. Support for both contracts will mainly be provided by the AFI KLM E&M service centre in Singapore as well as Singapore Component Solutions (SCS), the local joint venture between AFI KLM E&M and Sabena Technics.

 

AFI KLM E&M and Virgin Atlantic have signed a support services agreement for the airline's new fleet of twelve Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, the first unit of which will be delivered this summer. This flight-hour support contract covers repairs, access to a pool of spare parts and the provision of a Main Base Kit in London.

 

AFI KLM E&M and Air Senegal recently signed an agreement covering component support for the Senegalese carrier's fleet of two A330neo aircraft. The terms of the contract include flight hour repairs, access to the spares pool, and local provision of a Main Base Kit (MBK).

 

AFI KLM E&M and AirAsia X, part of the AirAsia Group, are extending their longstanding component support partnership for the A330 fleet to include the A330neo aircraft, soon to be deployed by the airline group. Services provided will cover repair, pool access and associated logistic services.

 

Airbus has signed an FHS Components agreement with Aircalin whereby Airbus will handle components services including pool, on-site stock at main base, repairs and transportation. The 12-year agreement covers two A320neos and two A330neos. Aircalin becomes the first Pacific airline to choose Airbus FHS. Meanwhile, China Express has selected Airbus FHS Components for its A320 fleet. This agreement provides an extensive scope of A320 line replaceable units (LRUs), guaranteed spare parts availability through pool access service, on-site stock at customer main base and component repair.

These latest contracts bring to 700 the total number of aircraft worldwide covered under the Airbus FHS programme, with 27 operators. Supporting the FHS worldwide are six dedicated FHS inventory pools, including Hong-Kong and Miami which opened in 2017. In 2018 there were 30,000 shipments performed, and over 500 approved repair shops served by FHS.

Boeing has signed a consumables and expendables services agreement to become an integrated supply chain solution provider for global MRO support of LATAM Airlines Group, which will be provided by Boeing and its subsidiaries Aviall and Boeing Distribution Services (BDSI). Additionally, Boeing will provide LATAM with the combined chemical handling expertise of Aviall and BDSI through an exclusive chemical solution supplier agreement.

 

Boeing has signed a 777 Landing Gear Exchange agreement with Turkish Technic. The program enhances Turkish Technic’s asset and maintenance management. Turkish Technic Inc. will also be a supplier of 737NG landing gear maintenance and a Boeing designated maintenance training provider.It has also signed a 777-300ER Landing Gear Exchange agreement withBritish Airways.

 

Boeing has signed British Airways as launch customer for a long-term, off-platform Component Services agreement for Airbus A320 aircraft.

 

Boeing and its subsidiaries Aviall and BDSI have signed a full parts package agreement withmyTECHNIC in Turkey.

Embraer has signed a long-term Flight Hour Pool Program agreement with Azul Linhas Aereas to provide repairable component support for the carrier’s brand new fleet of 51 Embraer E195-E2 jets. The multiyear agreement includes material services engineering and advanced component exchanges from Embraer spare parts facilities in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Azul joined the Embraer Pool Program in 2008, when it began operating its first generation of E-Jets, and more recently, the Repair Management Program. With the new Flight Hour Pool Program agreement, the airline will now have coverage for its entire Embraer fleet.

 

Embraer has announced TechCare pool maintenance and parts agreements with Switzerland’s Helvetic Airways, which signed a pool contract to cover four recently added E190 jets, and Aurigny Air Services, which signed an extension of its current agreement on parts maintenance to support the E195 operated by the Guernsey’s carrier.

GE Aviation andLufthansa Technik have expanded their collaboration on Boeing 777X MRO services with an agreement under which Lufthansa Technik will be GE's authorised service provider for the backup generator/converter (BUG and BUC) and for certain Electrical Load Management Systems (ELMS) components on the aircraft. This long-term cooperation will cover the maintenance service offerings, warranty support and 24/7 asset exchange/loan services to worldwide 777X operators.

            Lufthansa is currently one of the launch customers for the new Boeing 777X aircraft with 20 total aircraft ordered. Boeing offers the 777X in several passenger aircraft configurations all powered by the GE9X engine.

Meggitt has been selected to provide brake and wheel upgrades for the current and future global ATR 72 fleet. A total of 15 airline operators have committed to operate 185 ATR 72 aircraft with upgraded Meggitt equipment, of which 64 already have been installed with heavy duty wheels and brakes with NuCarb carbon.

Safran Electrical & Power has signed a contract with Lufthansa Technik to provide electrical harness maintenance for CFM56 engines. This contract covers the harnesses of the CFM engines powering the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 families. The harnesses will be repaired at Safran Electrical & Power's site in Vichy and then shipped back to Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg.

 

Safran Nacelles has signed an exclusive five-year NacelleLife service package agreement with French airline Corsair for maintenance and technical support on thrust reversers that equip four Airbus A330ceo aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 turbofan engines. Corsair selected a wide range of services from Safran Nacelles’ comprehensive NacelleLife offer, including full logistics support for planned and unplanned thrust reverser removals, along with maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services.
