AFI KLM E&M and AIBD Assistance Services (2AS), the exclusive airport ground handling services provider at AIBD (Aéroport International Blaise Diagne), have signed a partnership agreement to pool their expertise and resources in a joint venture dubbed 2AS Technics. 2AS Technics' operations will focus on line maintenance support for airlines based at, or flying to, the new Dakar airport.

As the exclusive airport ground handling services provider at the airport under a ministerial decree, 2AS set up its 2AS Technics subsidiary to handle line maintenance services at the airport. 2AS Technics already supports regional airlines, including Senegal's new flag-carrier, Air Senegal. Through its partnership with 2AS and equity interest in 2AS Technics, AFI KLM E&M will contribute its expertise to the joint venture.


Caerdav has established a dedicated line maintenance station for ASL Airlines France

 at Cardiff Airport and will provide routine maintenance for Boeing 737 NG aircraft operating on wet-lease for other airlines.


 KLM UK Engineering has just announced it has been providing Boeing 737 line maintenance support for WestJet at Glasgow since April 2019.


Volga-Dnepr Technics MFoscow (VDTM) has received the approval of the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) for Boeing 737NG line maintenance at Krasnoyarsk Airport. ‘The decision to obtain BCAA approval for the Boeing 737NG maintenance was primarily due to the intention to support regular customer, ATRAN, which has recently started to operate to Krasnoyarsk.
