Aeroman has received FAA approval for the EMBRAER 190 and 195 and will begin providing these services in the upcoming months. The next step will be the addition of the EMBRAER 175 later this year.

Airbus says Delta Air Lines has become the launch customer for its Prognostics and Risk Management solution following a successful year-long collaboration between the OEM and the airline. The web-based application is part of the Smarter Fleet ‘big data’ solutions platform developed by Airbus in partnership with IBM. Airbus is committed to predictive maintenance benefits and will expand the capabilities of Prognostics and Risk Management to the A320, A380 and A350 Families, while concurrently studying complementary predictive techniques based on big-data analysis.

Aviation Partners Boeing has announced that Thailand’s NewGen Airways is the first airline in Asia to install and operate Split Scimitar Winglets on its Boeing Next Generation 737-800 aircraft leased from GECAS.

Avio-Diepen has been selected by Ameco Beijing to create and supply customised kits for Airbus A320 main landing gear. The MRO kits are developed in partnership with Safran Landing Systems (formerly Messier-Bugatti-Dowty) and Ameco. The Avio-Diepen kits offer streamlined procurement, logistics and provide all the necessary parts, specifically packed for each maintenance job, saving time and costs.

COOPESA has painted the first narrowbody aircraft with the new LATAM livery and branding at its facility in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Airbus A320 is operating with LATAM Argentina.

CTS Engines has completed the acquisition through an affiliate of 12 CF6-80 engines from a major US carrier. The acquired engines include nine CF6-80A and three CF6-80C2A5 models. Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The engines will be used as teardowns and short-term spares in support of customers’ shop visits.

CTT Systems has announced orders for Cair humidity control systems from Jet Aviation Basel for two Boeing BBJ777-300 VIP completions. These awards are the 83rd and 84th orders for Airbus ACJs/Boeing BBJs, the fourth and fifth from Jet Aviation Basel during the past six months.

Eirtech Aviation and SAS have signed a contract for aircraft end of lease technical services until 2019. The new agreement is effective immediately and builds on a strong relationship between the two companies, while expanding the scope of services being offered. The contract means that over 40 SAS aircraft reaching the end of their lease period will pass through Eirtech Aviation’s Technical Services department, located at Shannon Airport in Ireland, ensuring that all aircraft are returned to the leasing company in the condition agreed at the time of leasing to SAS. The contract will involve a dedicated Technical Services project team of over 20 people, assisted by Eirtech’s CAMO personnel, working across a range of aircraft including Airbus A320s, Airbus A340s and Boeing 737s.

Eirtech Aviation is to supply Smartlynx Airlines of Estonia with its newly developed passenger USB power solution for its Airbus A320 aircraft. The system requires no permanent physical modification of the seats, is extremely light weight – less than 0.45kg per three-seat configuration – and has one USB outlet per passenger. It can be installed on a staged basis, which minimises ground time and is suitable for many different aircraft types, and is both EASA and FAA approved.

GA Telesis has expanded its LiveAOG service offerings with the addition of a 24/7/365 dedicated AOG Americas service team along with the first ever AOG mobile app. The company’s AOG Americas service will handle urgent component needs for the Americas and support GA Telesis’ exclusive Intelligent Global Engine & Airframe Replenishment (iGEAR) programmes for all customers based in the Americas region. Airlines are now able to communicate AOG needs via GA Telesis’ AOG mobile app and receive immediate feedback on their requests. The company has plans to further develop the app to include automated SMS and email updates on shipment status.
