B&H Worldwide is opening a new Singapore Forward Stocking Location (FSL) on behalf of FL Technics in the ALPS Free Trade Zone at Singapore's Changi Airport. FL Technics is a current B&H customer at London Heathrow, and this new location in Asia will further extend the two companies’ working relationship. Increasing demand for inventory in Asia has been a key driver for providing additional regional capacity within B&H's climate-controlled facility at the Free Trade Zone. The new store will be fully operational during 4Q18.

Boeing and Safran have received regulatory approvals for a 50/50 joint venture so they can begin designing, building and servicing aircraft APUs. The name of the joint venture, as well as the location of the future headquarters and production and service facilities, will be announced at a later date. The companies also named Etienne Boisseau as Chief Executive Officer of the joint venture.

EngineStands24, a subsidiary of Magnetic MRO, has announced its plans to launch a new engine stands’ logistics centre in Dubai, UAE. The new hub will be opened in 1Q19 and will store stands for narrowbody aircraft engines, including CFM56-5A/B, CFM56-7B and V2500. The warehouse will also be supplemented with a range of widebody aircraft engine stands. The hub will become EngineStands24’s fourth location, and the first outside Europe. The company is working to establish engine stand hubs in the US and Southeast Asia in the upcoming future.

Etihad Airways Engineering and Moog have announced a 15-year collaboration that will provide the MRO with global access to the Moog component pool as well as complete repair support from Moog on a range of part numbers fitted to the parent airline’s fleet.

GA Telesis has announced the acquisition of an Airbus A330-200 (MSN 255) for disassembly and support of its increase in demand for inventory. The disassembly is taking place in the United Kingdom, where key components will then be routed to its UK and US-based distribution facilities. The inventory will be used in support of the GA Telesis’ iGEAR, SNAP and ACCESS programs as well as day-to-day sales requirements of the company’s airline and MRO customers worldwide.

GAMECO has signed an extension with Satair to its long-term agreement for the Airbus Managed Inventory service to include further frequently-moving expendable parts. By capturing material consumption information in real-time, and automatically triggering replenishment orders within the agreed inventory levels, the service guarantees high on-shelf part availability while decreasing the overall inventory stock level, reducing the cost of ordering material. Using AMI, GAMECO supports some 200 Airbus aircraft operating in China consisting primarily of Airbus A320 Family, A330 and A380.

GKN Aerospace’s Fokker Techniek business in Woensdrecht, The Netherlands, has successfully completed its first Airbus A330 major maintenance project, for Air Europa. The required training, approvals, tooling and equipment for widebody maintenance have now all been obtained, and more A330 maintenance and redelivery projects have been secured.

Kawak Aviation Technologies, has earned FAA Part-145 Air Repair Station certification (4KWR258D) that enables it to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul services on Precision Aircraft Solutions Boeing 757-200 cargo door hydraulic components. Kawak is the sole manufacturer of cargo door hydraulics for the Precision Aircraft Solution 757-200 cargo aircraft, and will now be the first Part 145 repair station for them as well.
