CFM and TAP Portugal have signed a General Support License Agreement (GSLA) for maintenance activities of LEAP-1A engines. Under the terms of this agreement, TAP becomes part of the MRO network for LEAP-1A engines, and will also benefit from CFM’s expertise in training. This GSLA will allow TAP to initiate the process for LEAP-1A maintenance activities.


China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) has received HKAR-21 Approval for Production Organisation Approval (POA) by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department. The HKAR-21 Approval for POA entitles CASL to the exercising of the manufacture of non-metallic Cabin Furnishings, with the design drawings provided by a Design Organisation under a related agreement and supply carpets to aircraft operators and their service providers.


Collins Aerospace has been selected by Lufthansa Group to provide its ARINC GLOBALink to implement an advanced air-to-ground aviation communications network in support of its worldwide passenger communication requirements. This group includes Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter, SWISS and Lufthansa German Airlines.

The ARINC GLOBALink service delivers highly secure and reliable voice and data communications between the aircraft and ground operations over a private aviation network that features 99.999 % availability. The solution enables Lufthansa to use data link messages to improve departure control and turnaround, send and receive real-time aircraft and engine data to improve maintenance operations, and upload gate connection information to aircraft inflight entertainment displays.
