Rolls-Royce has announced Avolon as a new customer for LifeKey, its asset management offering, available exclusively to its LessorCare customers.


Sabena technics has construction work on a new 10,000m² hangar at Bordeaux-Mérignac airport with the removal of over 23,000m³ of soil. The new hangar should be operational by January 2020, and will be able to accommodate a widebody aircraft up to A350-1000/777-9X or up to three military transport aircraft such as A400M simultaneously.


StandardAero’s Maryville, TN, facility recently completed and shipped its 10,000th auxiliary power unit (APU) repair since the nearly 25 years it has been providing APU MRO services to the industry. The specific 10,000th repair was on a Honeywell model 36-150RJ APU for a regional aircraft operator.


Vallair has closed the sale of a V2500-A5 engine to Sojitz Aerospace. The engine was previously flying on an Airbus A321 (MSN974) which Vallair purchased from Aercap and leased to Onur Air. The run-out engine will now be dismantled for Sojitz Aerospace. Vallair continue to lease the airframe only to Onur Air. The engine was delivered to Sojitz Aerospace in December and forms part of an ongoing partnership which has seen Vallair sell three engines for disassembly into the Sojitz Aerospace parts pool with more in the pipeline for 2019.
