AeroSoft Systems has announced that Air Malta has gone live with its  WebPMI/DJM and DigiReports software, moving to a MS Server/MS SQL infrastructure. Endeavor Air, operating Bombardier CRJs on behalf of Delta Air Lines, has gone live with PMI A4.08 in a highly customised configuration. Bahamasair has started uploading its new ATR 72 aircraft  to WebPMI. Finally, LS Technics in Poland has committed to upgrade to DigiMAINT NG.

Aircraft Technical Publishers has released ATP Tool Compliance Manager and ATP Employee Compliance Manager. The two new products are delivered on a single-source cloud-based SaaS platform that has been designed specifically for maintenance providers.

 

The ATP Tool Compliance Manager facilities include:

  • Consolidated management and record keeping for all tool calibration, survey and servicing events
  • Due List to forecast and plan tool calibration or service with unprecedented efficiency and visibility
  • Flexibility to customise to specific needs; for instance, requirements either based on actual tool utilisation or the calendar (time used). Or tools can be grouped either by type or location for customised reporting. There is also flexibility to create new user defined requirements/functions
  • Reporting tools – ability to easily perform audits to ensure all tools are up-to-date or show a history of prior testing compliance
  • Single system for managing records and paper certificates, with ability to upload documentation to associated requirements/compliance event
  • Clone feature enables rapid set-up of new tools for increased efficiency and productivity.
  • ATP Employee Compliance Manager facilities include:
  • Consolidated management and record keeping for employee training, testing and certification
  • Flexibility for user-defined requirements to be created and customised to specific needs
  • Organised visibility to efficiently plan and forecast events to prevent non-compliance and ensure optimal workforce productivity
  • Reporting tools: enable anywhere, anytime access to employee records/history, as well as audits to quickly ensure all requirements are up-to-date
  • Single system for managing records and paper certificates with the ability to upload certificates and other associated documents
  • Clone feature to rapidly add new employees or replicate requirements for increased efficiency.

AirVault has announced a higher level of systems integration with Swiss-AviationSoftware’s AMOS MRO software. The AirVault M&E (Maintenance & Engineering) Integration provides comprehensive bi-directional integration with M&E Systems, such as Swiss-AS AMOS, to automate document data capture activities, allow comprehensive reconciliation, and allow publication of links into the AMOS for direct access to AirVault-stored records from within the AMOS application. AirVault’s AMOS integration securely maintains a synchronised cache of key AMOS data related to work packages, work orders, parts orders, and parts transactions to support document index augmentation, and reconciliation of records scanned/received with records expected. AirVault includes a rules-based BPM workflow capability to manage discrepancy resolution processes to audit records for completeness and accuracy, as well as to manage the entire discrepant record remediation process within the airline and with third party MROs.

 

AirVault’s cloud-based service technology and M&E Integration for AMOS are now in joint production at a number of airlines including Finnair, SAS and flydubai.

FLYdocs has won a long-term contract to supply electronic aircraft records management software to US low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines.

MINT Software Systems has been selected by Swiss-based QCM to provide the SaaS version of MINT TRMS for management of its growing EASA Part-147 Maintenance Training Organisation. The company will also apply MINT TRMS to support their EASA Part-M Continuing Airworthiness Management activities, their Part 21 Design Organisation, as well as the management of all related human and technical resources, even including the management of the hotel rooms at the QCM campus.

Mxi Technologies has announced that Cape Air of Hyannis, MA, has gone live with its Maintenix enterprise-wide fleet maintenance management system. The system is now operational across all outstations in the US, Caribbean and Guam, spanning the airline’s engineering, planning, maintenance operations control and materials management functions, supporting a mixed fleet of ATR 42, Cessna 402 and Britten-Norman Islander aircraft.

Mxi Technologies has been selected by Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) to provide its Maintenix system to support its expanding fleet of ATR aircraft.

Ramco Systems has announced the launch of its ‘Anywhere’ apps on mobile devices, which will enable requisition managers and mechanics to work on-the-go. The native mobile applications offer smart context-aware functions such as electronic signoffs, real-time monitoring and part tracking, easy deployment of online manuals and cloud-based data retrieval. All of these solutions also integrate the geo-fencing security feature, which prevents unauthorised access beyond the premises of a work centre. Integrated with a barcode scanner, smart search and voice input, executing critical transactions from a hangar or warehouse will now be possible on the move. 

 

The Anywhere apps available are:

  • Warehouse Anywhere – providing warehouse managers and clerks with a platform for comprehensive stock order management, with separate functions for enquiries, issues, returns and transfers. The software searches for parts based on warehouse location and offers real-time context sensitive map views of stock positions
  • Mechanic Anywhere – helping mechanics to streamline daily operations by introducing new data entry procedures for task cards and post-flight logging. This app also enables mechanics to request and track parts and resources, as well as log discrepancies and view resolution histories
  • Route Anywhere – helps logistics personnel to service requests to pick parts from the warehouse or work centre and deliver it to another warehouse or work centre right from a mobile device. They will now be able to monitor and track the real time location of the part between warehouses and work centres at any given point
  • Approve Anywhere – eradicates waiting time for approvals, rejections, purchase authorisations, invoice acceptance or modifications that typically put on hold the otherwise seamless internal workflow of maintaining an aircraft within an organisation. Notifications of the respective actions pending are pushed through the app to the palm of the user to take necessary actions on the go, eliminating the need to use a work station
  • Customer Anywhere – designed for MRO organisations, helps users sync better with their customers. Besides offering their customers the ability to track their maintenance at a work order or an individual task level, the app allows MROs to transparently speed up customer authorisations on maintenance quotes, additional scopes, new discrepancies and even pending invoices for balance payments via in-app notifications.

 

Ramco will be rolling out the Mobile Solutions for a select set of customers that have signed up for the release. The solutions will be available on both iOS and Android platforms.

Seabury MRO Solutions, formerly known as Volartec, has been selected by Nauru Airlines to provide its Alkym Management and Control System for Aircraft Maintenance to help with the process of bringing all airworthiness control tasks in-house. The Seabury MRO Solutions project team will be on site on two phases to ensure Nauru Airlines gets the maximum benefit from Alkym in a short timescale. Phase 1 will be complete before the end of 2015, with the ‘go live’ date planned during that visit.

Swiss-AviationSoftware has expanded its partnership arrangements for its AMOS MRO software. Amsterdam-based EXSYN has become a partner after providing services for AMOS implementation projects for two years. The company provides data migration, systems integration, reporting and business intelligence solutions. Merit Globe of Norway is another new partner, providing subject matter experts with practical aviation and AMOS knowledge to complement the customer’s core project team. The customer will, for example, be able to fully transfer the data migration activities to Merit Consulting. After going live, Merit Consulting offers an AMOS 1st level support service, add-on products, reports and integration with other systems, as well as system operations. Swiss-AS will continue to lead all AMOS implementation projects and focus on project governance, knowledge transfer, operational services and business consulting.

 

Meanwhile, CrossConsense, one of the first partners, has recently enlarged its core business activities, which were focused around data migration, BIManagement, AMOS Support and Hosting. With CROSSMOS they now offer an electronic technical logbook interfaced with AMOS. Swiss-AS will continue to lead all AMOS implementation projects and focus on project governance, knowledge transfer, operational services and business consulting.
