Mxi Technologies has announced that LATAM Airlines has successfully extended the Maintenix system footprint across its enterprise with the recent Go Live of LATAM Brazil’s fleet and third-party MRO shops operations. With this latest milestone, Maintenix now serves as the standard maintenance management platform for consolidated fleet management. LATAM first went live with Maintenix in 2011 when it was then known as LAN Airlines. After the merger with TAM Airlines, the company set out to expand its Maintenix solution in phases across TAM’s mixed fleet and MRO operations. The most recent milestone encompassed the entire Airbus fleet of 138 A320 Family aircraft and followed closely on the heels of a go live with LATAM Brazil’s Boeing widebody fleet in autumn 2015.

Swiss AviationSoftware says Oman Air has successfully gone live across the entire airline with its AMOS MRO software. Oman Air will leverage AMOS capability to sustain and extend its competitive advantage, reduce costs and improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of its engineering division. Since March 2016 the entire Oman Air fleet has been managed in AMOS. In addition to the standard AMOS support/maintenance services provided by Swiss-AS, Oman Air has signed for the AMOS Operation Services, which provides support for the operation of the application and database server. EXSYN was also involved, using its TITAN data migration solution to assist Oman Air in migrating the fleet data into AMOS, including that of the newly arrived Boeing 787, as well as an inventory audit to make sure the data was ready for transfer.

Swiss-AviationSoftware says its AMOS MRO software has been chosen by Iberia as the ideal platform to assure continuous airworthiness from an operator perspective. Iberia is the third member of the IAG Group to join the AMOS Community after Aer Lingus and Vueling. Iberia has licensed the AMOS CAMO Edition and required a customer oriented implementation process to perform CAMO and Part M activities in AMOS. Swiss-AS offered IBERIA a specially tailored training and implementation plan including project management, consulting, training and data transfer support.

Iberia will follow a phased implementation project approach using AMOS initially for the Airbus A330 fleet with the Go-Live currently scheduled in July 2016. The phase-in of the other aircraft types in AMOS will follow thereafter. The go-live of AMOS will cement new working methods for the Spanish carrier, leading to improved transparency and efficiency, and optimised business processes. AMOS will also facilitate the interaction between the Iberia CAMO organisation and the carrier’s MRO provider Iberia Maintenance.

Web Manuals Sweden says the latest version of its Cloud-based application – 6.0 Gripen – features a redesigned, intuitive user interface through which manuals and other documents can be swiftly navigated and edited, allowing users to easily access key functionalities. New features designed to enhance the user experience and streamline record keeping include a checklist widget, content mirror module, and records of revision module. Another key feature of the updated application is the new alerting system, which notifies manual owners to internal tasks assigned by other team members. In addition, a new, powerful permissions manager and refined user list will further streamline configuration for large organisations. These new functionalities sit alongside the long-standing alerts function to Compliance Library updates, including amendments to regulations/standards from EASA, FAA, IATA, and IBAC. By alerting users through the Web Manuals platform, an operator is able to update its policies or procedures to swiftly meet new requirements.
