Aerogility has announced that easyJet has successfully deployed its maintenance planning platform. Since partnering with Aerogility in 2017, easyJet’s maintenance planning team has developed powerful maintenance forecasting and interactive planning capabilities. With the integration of Aerogility’s new platforms, easyJet is now able to simulate flying its fleet over future years as well as the operation of its maintenance and engineering organisation, predicting when maintenance events should occur. These predictive maintenance forecasts include the analysis of systems such as engines, landing gear and airframes.


Aerogility automatically generates optimised schedules which easyJet can analyse and edit to maximise the number of aircraft flying and the number of seats available for customers. This allows the airline’s planning team to respond quickly by presenting alternative strategies and potential solutions to the day-to-day challenges faced by the fleet.


Operational data about each aircraft in the fleet is extracted from their AMOS operations system and integrated into the Aerogility planner. The planners can forecast when multi-functional heavy maintenance must be applied, factoring in existing plans with their third-party suppliers – and simultaneously incorporating other fleet upgrades and modifications programmes.”


Commsoft has signed a contract for its OASES MRO software with Just Us Air, a recently established private airline based in Romania. Having recently received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Autoritatea Aeronautica Civila Romana (AACR), Just Us Air has now commenced passenger charter flights from its base at Bucharest Baneasa airport with an Airbus A319-100 (available on a full charter, wet lease or ACMI basis) and will shortly be adding an A321-231. Just Us Air is promoting its services to tour operators, air transport brokers and other airlines.


Just Us Air has opted for the Core, Airworthiness and Planning with options on future access to the Materials and Line Maintenance Control modules. OASES has already been rapidly implemented for the A319 by Commsoft’s Bucharest-based implementation specialists working closely with Just Us Air staff, accessing the system through Commsoft’s Private Cloud service, and thus avoiding any need for the airline to install additional hardware.


FL Technicshas completed a CAMO audit and Commsoft OASES integration project for a Spanish long haul carrier Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas on three Airbus A340 aircraft. The airline entrusted FL Technics with an aircraft airworthiness data check, CAMO software integration and training of its engineering team. The aim was to centralise all data in one, cloud-based place, improve maintenance planning and optimise both time and financial costs related to scheduled and unscheduled MRO work.

FL Technics is an authorised representative of Commsoft, supporting sales of OASES to new customers across Asia-Pacific, MENA and CIS regions. It also provides system implementation and training services to Commsoft’s users across the globe.


IFS has announced the launch of IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner and IFS Maintenix Line Planner, two Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions designed to help commercial operators of all sizes boost the efficiency of their long range and line maintenance planning; make the most effective use of available maintenance resources; and drive greater aircraft operational availability. The launch represents the first in a series of SaaS-based IFS Maintenix solutions geared specifically for the maintenance and engineering needs of the global commercial aviation market.


IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner is designed to help generate more effective long range plans for heavy maintenance activities and reduce the manual effort of keeping them up-to-date. It quickly and automatically generates simple or complex fleet maintenance plans, and gives users the ability to compare plans against key performance indicators, model ‘what if’ scenarios, and publish to production. These efficiency gains ensure decision makers have the time and insight to choose the best possible plan and quickly react to schedule changes.


The solution was designed with the input of experienced long-range planners from a cross-section of large and small aircraft fleet operators. As part of an early adopter programme, IFS Maintenix Fleet Planner has already been selected by a large North American airline that operates a mixed fleet of widebody, narrowbody and regional jets. The system has been subjected to real-world use and has demonstrated an ability to enable improvements in aircraft availability, check yield and hangar utilisation.


IFS Maintenix Line Planner enables planners to efficiently create, maintain and communicate an executable line maintenance plan. The solution helps drive greater efficiencies by focusing attention on high priority items and identifying the cause of maintenance issues, such as lack of parts, labour or special tools. Through automated workflows, IFS Maintenix Line Planner empowers users to more readily react to last-minute schedule changes and maximise line operational capability, maintenance task yield, and network resources.


The solution was codeveloped in partnership with LATAM Airlines, the largest airline operator in Latin America with a fleet of over 300 aircraft and maintenance facilities spread throughout South and Central America, and is now live.


S7 Technics Holding has announced the implementation of the AMOS MRO Edition software from Swiss AviationSoftware, at its production sites. The respective contract was signed by S7 Technics and Swiss-AS in November 2017. The new business functions that have been added to AMOS, like facility/hangar planning, ground-time management, finance control dashboards, CRM and in-depth quotation/contract management will assist S7 Technics to improve the efficiency of its business process to comply with the existing as well as perspective requirements and high standards of its airline customers.


Swiss-AviationSoftware has announced that it has been selected by Mexican low cost carrier Viva Aerobus to provide itsAMOS MRO software to replace a legacy system.


UTC Aerospace Systems has relaunched its Aircraft Data Management solution as InteliSight with added functionality. The new InteliSight platform integrates hardware and software applications to deliver critical data and communication links, including access to real-time weather and aircraft health and performance information, to flight crews and airline operators. Access to this data allows operators to avoid turbulent weather, increasing safety and enhancing passenger experience, in addition to aircraft component health monitoring which can improve operational efficiency. The InteliSight platform is aircraft and mobile technology agnostic, and can be tailored to specific operator requirements. The platform has been certified on a wide range of aircraft platforms and validated with major global airworthiness authorities.


The InteliSight platform integrates and delivers actionable data via the Aircraft Interface Device (AID) in conjunction with mobile and/or hosted applications to enable flight crews and ground operations to make decisions ranging from optimal flight profiles to predictive maintenance. The open platform design of the AID allows operators to host various applications from a range of providers, including those developed by UTC Aerospace Systems and third parties.


With a focused shift to proactive strategies through advanced data and predictive analytics, the InteliSight platform gives operators the ability to solve current and future challenges cost-effectively. With a modular and scalable hardware platform that’s upgradeable via on-wing software updates, InteliSight can adapt to technology advancements and ongoing user needs.
